Jordan recently moved to Charlottesville, where she lives in a mountain house with her boyfriend and their two cats, Bogie and Slaughter. I have recently discovered the lovely work of Ekaterina Trukhan, she is originally from Russia and now lives in London. Ekaterina has recently had a book published called Me and My Cat, published by Macmillan Children's Books,  about a friendship between a girl and her cat. Ekaterina is running a competition to win a free signed copy! All you need to do is leave a comment on her blog answering the question 'why do you like cats?'. Ekaterina will select the winner on July 20th. Her pretty ginger cat is called Moris.

Harriet Damave is an artist from Amsterdam. She makes unique hand painted ceramics as well as porcelain delft jewellery, wall hangings and ornaments. There were so many amazing cat-themed items in her two shops (House Of Harriet& Harriet Damave), I had a hard time picking only a few! Her big black cat is called Bessie and was adopted from a cat shelter eight years ago. Heather Mattoon is the artist behind Cats In Clothes and she paints - you may have guessed it - cats in clothes! But they're not merely animals in clothes, each cat has a unique character and fashion style. They are both beautiful and hilarious. LisaJones Studio is run by Lisa and her partner Edward. They started by screen printing a range of gorgeous illustrated stationery (I discovered their work when I purchased a lovely greeting card with a Collie dog) and have since branched out into ceramics, clocks, tea towels and even picture books! All available from her shop here. I absolutely love her work, so I was excited to find a lot of wonderful cat-themed items to feature here. Lisa used to have an adorable cat named Pocket, who as she says is now 'out of town and living a different kind of life'. (Much like my own cat Elvis, who left one day and went to Hollywood).

Anne Montel lives in a small city near Bordeaux in the south-west of France. She creates beautiful watercolour illustrations and comics, makes little wooden creatures, cooks lovely food and is amazingly prolific - as is apparent from her blog. I recently ordered her fantastic book Shä & Salomé (written by Loïc Clément) about a girl and her cat - it's absolutely brilliant, even if my French is limited and I can't understand everything yet. Anne's black cat is called Minuit.
